1996 RESULTS
1996 was the beginning of the turnaround for professional wrestling in the United States. WCW's Monday Nitro shocked the world and was winning the Monday Night ratings battle against Monday Night Raw on a regular basis. While many look at Monday ratings, 1996 was also a success for WWF, which saw house shows numbers increase across the board each month. Both of major companies started to pay more and more attention to ECW which resulted in some talent departing the promotion.
